Two powerful new books say today's global warming is due not to human activity but primarily to a long, moderate solar-linked cycle. "Unstoppable Global Warming Every 1500 Years," by physicist Fred Singer and economist Dennis Avery was released just before Christmas. "The Chilling Stars: A New Theory of Climate Change," by Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark and former BBC science writer Nigel Calder (Icon Books), is due out in March.

The event will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the Pacific Design Center and will be co-sponsored by Audi, Chopard and VH1. EJAF's party to celebrate the Academy Awards(R) is one of the Foundation's most successful and visible fundraisers of the year.

This must see dramatic portrayal of historical figure Mammy Pleasant considered the Mother of Civil Rights in the 1800s in the State of California opens February 4th with the Sunday Speaker Series. Playhouse Theatre Playhouse is located at 600 Moulton Avenue (at Main Street and Moulton Ave, North of Downtown Los Angeles). Show times are Saturdays at 6 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.

With its debut at #32, Diana Ross' new Manhattan/EMI Music Marketing album, I Love You, is the highest new entry on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart this week. The #32 debut with first-week sales totaling 21,222 marks Ms. Ross' highest chart debut and strongest sales week in the SoundScan era. I Love You also peaked at #3 on iTunes Top 100 R&B chart and at #47 on iTunes Overall Top 100 chart, and at Amazon.com, the album reached the #41 position in overall popular music sales during its debut week.

When the nominations for the 79th Annual Academy Award nominations were announced today in Los Angeles, Miramax Films as a company received an amazing seven overall nominations, including six for "The Queen," and one for "Venus." "We are incredibly proud of 'The Queen' and 'Venus' and delighted that they have both been recognized by the Academy. I am thrilled to continue the Miramax tradition of releasing award-worthy films," said Miramax president Daniel Battsek.
