In fact, nearly four in 10 workers would consider dating a coworker, and nearly four in 10 have done so, according to the latest Spherion(R) Workplace Snapshot survey conducted by Harris Interactive(R). And with 25 percent of such romances leading to the altar, Cupid is busy.

In a storyline reminiscent of Y2K, there is a little-known glitch on the way that could soon confound computer systems across the United States. The author of the problem isn't some malware writer bent on causing trouble; the glitch is compliments of the United States Congress. In 2005 when the Congress passed legislation to lengthen the U.S. observation of Daylight Savings Time (DST), the move was a benign effort to squeeze a little more light out of each of our days.

Segway Inc. today announced that the Miami-Dade Police Department will be using Segway(R) Personal Transporters (PTs) to provide security services at Super Bowl XLI on Feb. 4 and throughout the week preceding the event. The department will use three Segway i2 and three x2 models to patrol the walkways, parking lots and exhibition areas around Dolphin Stadium. In addition, the City of Miami Police Department recently purchased six Segway PTs that it will use to patrol NFL-sponsored events throughout the city.

After two years of research, comparative tastings, and evaluation of prototype glasses, Oregon winemakers and Georg Riedel have arrived at a new shape of wine glass designed especially for Oregon Pinot noir. What began as a wishful conversation between IPNC Executive Director Amy Wesselman and Georg Riedel has now been given form, literally, and the first shipment of the new tulip-shaped glass is currently on its way from Kufstein, Austria.

Networks Productions, Inc. and one of its producers, for fraud, breach of contract, false light invasion of privacy, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress based on the production and airing this week of the premiere episode of E! Entertainment's new series "Boulevard of Broken Dreams."

State Farm will participate in a court supervised resolution process to reconsider and fully resolve claims from Hurricane Katrina in three Mississippi coastal counties. The process is part of an agreement reached through the settlement of a class action lawsuit against the insurer by families who believe their damage claims were not adequately resolved. This agreement can affect some 35,000 Mississippi families, if approved by the U.S. District Court in Mississippi overseeing hurricane litigation.

From today U.S. and Canadian citizens can carry out a full online search of all ship passenger records for vessels leaving British ports (England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales) on voyages to North America and the rest of the world. The easily-searchable, user-friendly database covers journeys taken between 1890 and 1960 and can be accessed at www.ancestorsonboard.com.
